However, as an open-source operating system, you may encounter the “Application is Not Installed on Your Phone” error. Though the problem doesn’t happen a lot, it can be really disturbing when you try to install an app and show this error message.

Download the App from Play Store

“App not installed” mostly occurs while trying to install an application from third-party sources. These applications may show the error as they don’t include the security certificate that is required your phone. So, try to download the app from Play Store to solve the issue.

Downloading apps from external sources are not also safe. They may include malware and viruses which may cause harm to your device. So, consider installing apps from Play Store if they are available on it. For apps that are unavailable on Play Store, use trusted source like Apk Mirror.

Check If there is Sufficient Storage

Sometimes the app may not install on your android device due to insufficient storage. The app size mentioned in the description or specification is not its actual size. It is basically the size of the packaged apk file. When you install the app, the size of the apk can expand, which means you will require additional storage.

As an example, if an application is listed to be 100 MB, it may require 300 MB or more space. So, if you are encountering the issue frequently, then you may not have adequate storage space.  Remove unnecessary app and files to make space for the new apps.

SD Card Error

One of the most common reasons behind the app not installed problem is the SD card error. When you install apps on the SD card, you will see them listed on your device even if the SD card is not mounted. So, make sure that the SD card is mounted correctly on the phone.

Sometimes, the problem can also happen due to the corruption in the SD card. When the SD card becomes corrupted, it will not be able to read the app execution files properly. As a result, you will see the error. You will need to format or change the SD card to get rid of the issue.

Try the Other Version of the App

Sometimes, a specific release of the app may not be compatible with your device. You will see the error message in such situations. Employing a different version of the application may help you to solve the issue. If you are employing an earlier version, then update the app from play store to start using it.

If you already have the updated version, you will require to go back to a past release. At first, check the current version of the app. Then open Google and search for a previous version. Then install a past version from a reliable APK download site.

Disable Google Play Protect

“Play Protect” is a security feature of Google Play Store that is utilized to ensure the safety and privacy of your data and the device. While the feature is turned on, it runs a security test on the program before letting you install it.

The Play Protect features sometimes also block the apps that you download from the external sources. That means, there are possibilities of encountering the app not installed error due to the Play Protect feature.

You can easily turn the Play Protect feature. At first, open Play Store and open the menu bar.
